About Scott A

Scott A. Spencer trained as a lawyer at New England Law | Boston, earning his J.D. in 2006. He built his legal foundation there and carried that credential into a practice centered in Massachusetts. His academic background included courtroom-focused training that he later reinforced through specialized skills programs.

Early in his career he served as Assistant General Counsel in the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Law Department in 2010. That role placed him inside a large public agency legal office. He worked on compliance and operational matters, and he handled issues that required coordination between legal teams and public officials. That time in-house gave him a perspective on how legal decisions affect day-to-day operations.

By 2015 he moved into private practice as an associate at the Law Offices of John J. Bonistalli. At that firm he took on litigation assignments and represented clients in a range of civil matters. He handled discovery, prepared pleadings, and appeared in hearings. Colleagues describe his courtroom preparation as methodical and his deposition work as thorough.

Spencer supplemented his courtroom experience with formal training. He completed Trial Skills and Deposition Skills programs at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He also holds mediation and divorce mediation certificates from the Community Dispute Settlement Center. Those credentials reflect time spent developing practical techniques for trial presentation and for resolving disputes outside of court.

Outside the office he maintains a membership in the ACLU. That association indicates an interest in civil liberties and public-policy issues. He has balanced public-sector work, private practice, and alternative dispute resolution throughout his career.

He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and has continued to practice in the state since completing his law degree. He currently practices at the Law Offices of John J. Bonistalli, where his work combines litigation tasks and mediated resolution of disputes.
