About Sasan
Sasan Mirkarimi built his legal foundation in Southern California. He earned a B.A. from the University of Southern California in 2001 and completed his J.D. at California Western School of Law in 2005. Those years shaped his early path into private practice and firm leadership.
After law school Mirkarimi moved into roles that combined client work and management. By 2012 he was serving as president of Mirk Law Group PLC, a role that put him squarely on the business end of running a law firm. Three years later he took on the title of managing partner at Equity Legal LLP. Those positions required handling both legal matters and the practical demands of running a firm: staffing, client intake, budgeting and strategic planning.
Peers and colleagues describe him as pragmatic in the office. He favors clear files and direct answers. He has spent much of his career advising private clients and organizational clients on a range of matters, and he has overseen teams that handled litigation, transactional work and client counseling. He has also managed outside counsel relationships and worked to align firm resources with client needs.
Mirkarimi maintains membership in professional associations and has stayed engaged with his local legal community. He is admitted to practice in California. Over time he has moved between front-line case work and the administrative duties that come with running a practice. That mix of responsibilities has shaped how he approaches client files — practical, detail-oriented, and attentive to business realities.
Colleagues say his background in both the courtroom and the boardroom makes him comfortable advising small businesses and individual clients alike. He is the sort of lawyer who will draft a contract one day and oversee a complex matter the next. He has also been involved in mentoring younger attorneys at the firms where he has served in leadership roles.
He now practices law in California and handles both client representation and firm-level legal matters.
