About Sarah Y.

Sarah Y. Hubbard followed a steady academic path into law. She earned a B.A. in English Literature and Legal Studies from Trinity College in 2009 and completed her J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in 2014. Those years gave her a mix of liberal arts perspective and formal legal training.

Her practical exposure began early. She interned at Hinckley Allen LLP in 2007 while still in school. After graduating, she returned to Hinckley Allen in 2009 as an estate planning office assistant. That role introduced her to the mechanics of wills, trusts and the administrative work that supports client advisories.

In 2010 she moved to Lubin & Meyer PC as a medical records coordinator. The work connected legal processes to healthcare documentation and taught her to manage sensitive information under tight deadlines. She later served as a law clerk at Parker | Scheer LLP in 2013. The clerkship provided hands-on experience in legal research, drafting and case preparation.

By 2015 Hubbard had taken on the dual role of lawyer and mediator at Next Phase Legal LLC. She has combined courtroom and alternative dispute resolution skills in that role. Mediation work requires patience and an ability to read both law and people. Her background in estate planning and handling medical-legal documents has proven useful when disputes touch on family, health or end-of-life concerns.

Hubbard belongs to several professional organizations. She is a member of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society, the Boston Bar Association and the Norfolk Bar Association. Those memberships keep her connected to continuing education and the professional community in Massachusetts.

Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She attends to procedural detail and prioritizes clear communication with clients. Her earlier work managing records and office operations informs how she runs matters now. The path from intern to lawyer and mediator has been practical and sequential, marked by steady role changes that added tools to her practice.

She is licensed to practice in Massachusetts. At Next Phase Legal LLC she serves clients in mediation and legal matters that often arise from family and estate contexts. She maintains an office through the firm and continues to divide her time between dispute resolution and client advisory work.

She practices estate planning, mediation and related civil matters through her work at Next Phase Legal LLC.
