About Sarah J

Sarah J Larsen built her legal foundation in the classroom before entering practice. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Utah in 1995. She then went on to Lewis & Clark Law School, where she received her J.D. in 1998. Those years shaped a careful approach to statutory text and courtroom procedure.

Her career has been centered on insolvency and bankruptcy work. Early on she handled routine filings and creditor negotiations. Over time she added more complex matters, including contested proceedings and plan confirmation hearings. She has worked for clients on both sides of the docket: debtors seeking relief and creditors protecting claims. That breadth of exposure informs how she evaluates cases and advises clients.

Larsen’s practice style is pragmatic. She favors clear, plainspoken analysis over dense argument. When a case can be resolved through negotiation she pursues settlement that preserves value. When litigation is necessary she prepares cases for trial and argues them in court. Her work touches on the technical details of bankruptcy code and the human consequences of financial distress. She drafts reorganization plans, objects to or defends claims, and handles motions that affect whether a business survives or a consumer gets a fresh start.

Today she practices at Utah Bankruptcy Law Center, PLLC, where she handles matters that range from consumer chapter 7 filings to chapter 11 reorganizations. Colleagues describe her as steady under pressure and attentive to procedural posture, and clients rely on her to explain complicated processes in accessible terms. She balances courtroom readiness with an eye toward practical resolutions. Her current practice focuses on bankruptcy and related insolvency matters.
