About Sarah Hopson
Sarah Hopson Bond is a seasoned family law attorney based in Portland, Oregon, bringing over 20 years of legal experience to her practice. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2004. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Whitman College in 1997. During her time at Berkeley Law, she received the prestigious Berkeley Law Foundation Phoenix Fellowship, which recognizes outstanding law students. Additionally, she served as co-editor-in-chief of the African American Law and Policy Report, showcasing her commitment to legal scholarship and advocacy.
After graduating from law school, Sarah was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2004. She began her legal career as an associate attorney at Stokes Lawrence in Seattle, where she practiced both family law and complex civil litigation. This experience laid a solid foundation for her future endeavors. In 2007, Sarah made the decision to relocate to Portland, Oregon, and she was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2008. Shortly thereafter, she joined Zimmer Family Law, LLC, where she focused exclusively on family law matters, including contested custody disputes and complex business valuations.
In 2022, Sarah transitioned to Bond Family Law LLC, continuing her dedication to family law.
