About Sarah G.

Sarah G. Landres earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia before taking up legal studies at William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law. Those formative years combined a liberal arts foundation with a traditional law curriculum. She left law school prepared to practice, having completed the coursework and training that a modern litigation practice requires.

After law school she became admitted to practice in New Hampshire. That credential opened the door to work in a regional firm where courtroom preparation and client counseling come together. The state admission anchors her work; it determines where she can appear and which procedural rules guide her daily work.

Landres moved into private practice as an associate at Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. There she joined a team of lawyers handling a range of matters brought by individuals, businesses and other organizations. As an associate she has taken on responsibility for case development, drafting pleadings and motions, and helping prepare for hearings and depositions.

Her role involves substantial legal research and written advocacy. She prepares memoranda for supervising counsel, drafts briefs that lay out factual and legal arguments, and assembles documentary evidence. She also meets with clients to gather information and explain next steps in a case. Those tasks are common in firm practice, and they form the backbone of her day-to-day work.

Colleagues describe her work as steady and methodical. She contributes to trial and pretrial preparation and assists more senior lawyers in courtroom matters when required. Much of her time is spent translating complex legal standards into practical steps a client can understand. She balances attention to detail with an eye toward litigation strategy and deadlines.

She currently practices at Shaheen & Gordon, P.A., focusing on representing clients in matters that arise under New Hampshire law.
