About Sarah
Sarah Ennis earned her Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware School of Law in 2012. Her legal training took place in a law school closely connected to Delaware’s courts and legal community, and the degree established the foundation for her practice in the state where she is licensed.
After law school she began practicing in Delaware. Over time she has navigated the day-to-day work that defines state-level lawyering: drafting pleadings and agreements, researching statutory and case law, advising clients on procedural questions, and appearing in court when matters required a hearing. Those tasks require attention to detail and clear written advocacy. They also demand the ability to explain complex legal rules to clients in plain language.
Ennis’s experience includes both advocacy and counseling roles. She has handled matters that called for negotiation as well as those that proceeded through litigation. She has also worked on transactional and compliance issues that arise for individuals and businesses operating under Delaware law. Her work shows an ability to move between courtroom settings and office-based advisory work, and to adapt legal strategies to the needs of the client and the contours of Delaware statutes and precedent.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in legal research and precise in drafting. She spends time preparing evidence and exhibits when cases go to court. In client meetings she prioritizes clarity. She explains options, timelines, and likely outcomes so clients can make informed choices about how to proceed.
She has maintained ties to Delaware’s legal community since leaving law school. That connection helps keep her current on procedural developments and on practical expectations in the state’s courts. Clients who require representation in Delaware benefit from an attorney familiar with local filings, court customs, and the scheduling realities of state dockets.
Today Ennis continues to practice law in Delaware, representing clients in matters brought in the state and advising on legal issues that arise under Delaware law.
