About Sarah Elaine

Sarah Elaine Harrington earned a B.A. from Yale University and went on to receive her J.D. from Harvard Law School. Her academic record places her among graduates of two of the country's most prominent institutions of higher learning. Those credentials shaped the early contours of a legal career that would move from classroom to courtroom and to appellate briefing rooms.

After law school she secured admission to practice in New York and later gained admission to the roll of attorneys qualified to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court. She is listed as an attorney at Goldstein & Russell, P.C. There she built a practice that draws on both state and federal admission credentials. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing filings and deliberate in courtroom pacing.

Her work involves matters that rely on an understanding of procedural and appellate pathways. Being admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court allows her to file pleadings at the highest federal level when cases reach that stage. In New York she appears in state proceedings and works on matters that require familiarity with local rules and precedent. She has developed routines for managing complex dockets and coordinating with co-counsel across jurisdictions.

Outside of appearances and filings, she spends substantial time drafting briefs and motion papers. Those tasks require close attention to precedent and careful citation practice. She also handles the logistical work that accompanies multi-jurisdictional matters, including submissions to courts where she is admitted and coordinating filings where special admission is required. Her approach to casework emphasizes steady preparation and clear written advocacy. She currently practices at Goldstein & Russell, P.C., handling matters in New York and matters brought before the U.S. Supreme Court.
