About Sara Rose
Sara Rose Diamond combines a deep academic background with active legal practice. Her education began at the University of California at Irvine, where she earned a B.A. in Spanish in 1979. She went on to complete a Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1993. Her legal studies included time at Brooklyn Law School and culminated in a J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco in 2003.
After completing her J.D., Diamond was admitted to the bar in 2003 and maintains active licensure. She is admitted to practice in both California and New York. Those dual admissions allow her to handle matters that cross state lines and to advise clients whose issues involve multiple jurisdictions. She has practiced under the name Law Office of Sara R. Diamond, where she conducts her solo practice.
Her academic training in sociology predates and informs her approach to law. The doctorate work required sustained research, analysis of institutions, and attention to social context. Those skills translate into case preparation and client counseling. She has moved from an extended academic career into law practice, drawing on both disciplines to evaluate facts and legal issues. The record shows a transition from scholarly training in the social sciences to active participation in the bar beginning in 2003.
Diamond’s current practice is based out of the Law Office of Sara R. Diamond. She handles matters for clients in New York and California and manages the responsibilities of a small law office. Her license remains active. She performs client representation, legal drafting, and court work as required by each matter. She currently practices through the Law Office of Sara R. Diamond, representing clients in matters across New York and California.
