About Sara LC

Sara LC Hulford built her legal foundation through Washington State’s Rule 6 Law Clerk Program, completing the APR 6 Program in 2012. That early training provided practical courtroom experience and an introduction to day-to-day legal work. It also set the tone for a career spent almost entirely in elder law practice.

Her career began behind the scenes. In 2011 she worked as a paralegal at the Elder Law Offices of Barry M. Meyers, P.S. That role led to a licensed legal intern placement in 2015, where she carried the designation Licensed Legal Intern #4130104 while continuing at the same firm. She moved from internship to the bar roster in 2017 and served as an associate lawyer at the Elder Law Offices of Barry M. Meyers, P.S. Four years later, in 2021, she became a partner in the reorganized firm Elder Law Offices of Meyers, Neubeck & Hulford, P.S.

Her progression through those roles reflects steady responsibility increases. Early tasks as a paralegal involved client intake and document preparation. As an intern she took on more substantive legal work under supervision. As an associate, she handled client counseling and case management, and as partner she shares oversight of firm operations and client strategy.

Hulford’s work centers on legal issues that affect older adults and their families. She handles matters typical of elder law practice, including planning for incapacity, advising on public benefits for long-term care, and assisting families with guardianship or conservatorship proceedings. Colleagues describe her as practical and thorough in client conferences. Court filings and client documents reflect careful attention to statutory requirements and local procedures.

Outside the office she has been involved in local bar and professional groups. She has been a member of Washington Women Lawyers, Whatcom County Chapter since 2016, and in 2023 she took on a role on that chapter’s board. She also holds an ongoing professional membership that began in 2017.

Today she practices at Meyers, Neubeck & Hulford, P.S., in Washington. Her caseload remains focused on elder law matters, including estate planning, long-term care planning, and guardianship-related issues.
