About Sara Anne

Sara Anne Swiren built her legal foundation in the classroom. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for undergraduate studies and then returned to Arizona State University, where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in Marketing and a minor in Recreation and Tourism. She earned her Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.

Her early legal training began in practical settings. In 2006 she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Steven D. Sheldon at the Maricopa County Superior Court. That same year she worked in several capacities at Fromm, Smith & Gadow, P.C., including law clerk and legal assistant roles. Those positions gave her time in courtrooms and file rooms, and early experience with procedural work and client-facing matters.

After law school she alternated between private practice and collaborative roles. In 2009 she opened a solo practice, Law Offices of Sara A. Swiren, PLC, while also serving of counsel to The Harrian Law Office, PLC. She later joined Franks, Houser & McVey, P.C. as an associate in 2011 and then moved to DeShon Laraye Pullen PLC as an associate in 2014. In 2020 she became a partner at Swiren & Witzleb, PLLC.

Her career reflects steady movement through courtroom and transactional work, with repeated involvement in family law matters. She has volunteered work through Maricopa County programs, including the Family Law Assistance Program and the Volunteer Lawyers Program in the first decade of her practice. She also has been active in the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Family Law Section, serving on its board in two separate periods and maintaining membership since 2008.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation. She spends time on procedural details, discovery, and settlement planning. Her background includes both solo and firm-based practice, which has shaped how she manages caseloads and client communication. She has taken on roles that required courtroom appearances, drafting pleadings, and advising clients on family law issues.

Swiren balances private practice responsibilities with professional association work. She served volunteers and has kept ties to local legal aid efforts. In 2020 she assumed a leadership role at Swiren & Witzleb, PLLC, where she continues to carry matters through litigation and resolution. Her current practice focuses on family law matters in Arizona.
