About Samuel

Samuel Ventola built his legal foundation at the University of Colorado. He earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Political Science from CU Boulder in 1985. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in 1988.

Soon after law school, Ventola gained experience in private firm practice. He joined Rothgerber, Johnson & Lyons as special counsel in 1989. That role exposed him to complex civil matters and the workings of a larger legal team. He remained active in the Denver legal community and maintained professional memberships that anchored his practice.

In 2005 he started his own firm, the Law Office of Samuel Ventola. He managed a small practice that handled litigation and advisory matters for a range of clients. In 2012 he added a distinct strand to his work: mediation. He formed Ventola Mediation and completed a 40-hour mediation training through Mares-Dixon & Associates to formalize his role as a neutral.

Ventola is admitted to practice in Colorado and is credentialed to appear before the 10th Circuit and the Federal Circuit. He has been a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association since 1988. Outside the bar, he has held memberships in the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau since 2014.

Across his career he has moved between advocacy and dispute resolution. His early years at a full-service firm gave him exposure to multi-party litigation and appellate procedures. His private practice years involved client counseling, filings and courtroom work. Over the last decade, mediation has become a steady part of his docket. He handles mediations that arise out of civil disputes and tends to work with parties who seek an alternative to protracted litigation.

Colleagues and clients have described him as pragmatic in conference and exacting in pleadings. He brings a methodical approach to preparing cases and a measured presence to settlement discussions. He combines that temper with the procedural knowledge required for federal and state practice.

Ventola continues to operate the Law Office of Samuel Ventola and to offer mediation services through Ventola Mediation. He maintains active professional memberships and accepts both advisory and mediation engagements in Colorado and in federal matters before the 10th and Federal Circuits. His current practice focuses on civil litigation, appellate filings and mediation services.
