About Samuel
Samuel Gaylord began his academic path at Syracuse University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He went on to graduate from Seton Hall University School of Law, entering the bar shortly thereafter and launching a career that spans state and federal courts.
His early professional years included a stint at Stark & Stark starting in 1996. He spent those years building courtroom experience and learning the rhythms of firm practice. In 2004 he took on a leadership role as managing partner at Gaylord Popp, LLC. That move marked a shift from associate work to firm management and client development. Over time he has combined casework with the responsibilities of running a law practice.
Gaylord is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He also holds admission in the District of Columbia and in federal forums, including the U.S. Supreme Court and the Third Circuit. Those admissions reflect a practice that spans both state and federal matters and creates the option to handle appeals and other federal filings when cases require them.
Colleagues describe him as steady and practical in the courtroom. His career shows a steady progression from firm lawyer to managing partner, matching increasing caseload complexity with administrative duties. He has worked on matters that required coordination across jurisdictions, and his admissions to multiple bars have made that coordination feasible without repeated pro hac vice arrangements.
Gaylord maintains a presence across New Jersey. He sees clients and handles matters from offices in Trenton, Woodbridge and Cherry Hill. Those locations allow him to meet clients in person across a wide geographic area and to attend proceedings in nearby state and federal courts.
Outside the courtroom he has balanced casework with the day-to-day obligations of running a small firm. That includes supervising associates, managing client intake and guiding litigation strategy. The blend of managerial and practice responsibilities has shaped how he allocates time and resources for client matters.
He currently practices at Gaylord Popp, LLC, representing clients in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and appearing in federal and appellate courts when cases require it.
