About Samuel

Samuel Farkas took a steady, straight-line approach to legal education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media Studies and Political Science from Florida State University in 2006. He then returned to Tallahassee for law school and received his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law in 2012.

Early in his legal training he spent time clerking at Henderson Franklin in 2011. That role introduced him to routine legal work and the mechanics of a law office. Around the time he finished law school he also began a different kind of public-facing work. Since 2012 he has been self-employed as a live drawing host for the Powerball lottery, a role that demands poise on camera and steady execution under pressure.

Farkas sits on two state bars. He became a member of the Florida Bar in 2013 and joined the Georgia State Bar in 2017. Both memberships remain current. Holding licenses in Florida and Georgia gives him standing to practice in two neighboring jurisdictions.

In 2019 he moved into legal education administration. He accepted the post of Vice President of Instruction & Online Education at BARBRI Global. In that capacity he oversees curriculum development for bar preparation and directs the delivery of online courses used by law graduates preparing for the bar exam. His responsibilities include shaping course materials, coordinating instructors, and tracking program performance to ensure students receive a consistent learning experience.

The combination of a communications background and practical legal training has defined much of his career. His undergraduate studies in media and political science inform his work in online instruction. His experience hosting live televised events translates to managing live remote classes and multimedia course components. The mix of public presentation skills and legal credentials is an uncommon pairing, and it frames his approach to legal education.

Outside of his institutional roles he has maintained a presence that bridges education and public media. He has continued freelance on-air work while expanding into program management and instructional strategy. He remains active in both Florida and Georgia bar communities and applies that regulatory knowledge to the design of bar-focused curricula.

He currently serves as Vice President of Instruction & Online Education at BARBRI Global and maintains active bar memberships in Florida and Georgia. He focuses his current practice on legal education and online instructional programs.
