About Samuel Anthony (Tony)

Samuel Anthony (Tony) Silva earned his J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2008. He moved from classroom to courtroom in a relatively short time and has built a practice grounded in federal procedures and immigration law. His legal education in Memphis laid the groundwork for steady work in both state and federal arenas.

Silva is admitted to practice in Tennessee and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. He maintains active memberships in the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Memphis Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. Those memberships reflect the kinds of matters he regularly handles and the professional circles in which he operates.

Over the years Silva has concentrated on matters that commonly reach federal court. He represents individuals and families on immigration issues, and he files and defends claims in federal forums when cases require it. His casework ranges from visa petitions and applications for lawful permanent residence to removal defense and naturalization proceedings. He also handles litigation tied to immigration status and related federal statutory questions.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and steady. He prepares filings carefully and often appears before magistrate judges and district judges in the Western District of Tennessee. He also navigates administrative processes before federal agencies. The practice requires attention to procedural detail, and Silva has structured his work to meet those demands.

Silva practices at Snable Stevenson & Silva LLC in Memphis. At the firm he works with a team that addresses both individual client needs and broader litigation matters. He participates in local bar activities through the Memphis Bar Association and keeps connected to developments in immigration practice through AILA and the Federal Bar Association. That network helps him stay current on regulatory changes and emerging case law that affect clients in Tennessee.

He continues to accept new matters at his firm and represents clients in immigration-related proceedings and federal court matters. His current practice centers on immigration law and the federal litigation that often accompanies it.
