About Samira
Samira Ghaderi built her academic foundation in the Washington, D.C., area. She studied at Marymount University and at American University. She also attended American University Washington College of Law, where she prepared for a career in law.
She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and has spent her legal career working in the city where she studied. Early on she handled a range of immigration matters for individuals and families. Over time she moved into roles that required regular appearances before immigration agencies and courts and the management of complex procedural filings.
Her work centers on immigration law. She represents clients in matters that commonly arise for noncitizens: family-based petitions, removal defense, asylum claims, and naturalization cases. She also handles administrative applications and provides counsel on options for lawful status. Her membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association reflects that subject-area focus and keeps her connected to developments in federal immigration policy and practice.
Colleagues and clients describe her as pragmatic in approach and attentive to the practical needs of people navigating the immigration system. She balances lawyering tasks—drafting briefs, preparing evidentiary records, and arguing motions—with the more routine client work of preparing applications and explaining procedural steps. She has worked on matters that required coordination with social-service providers and pro bono programs, and she maintains an office in Washington to serve clients in the metropolitan area.
Ghaderi leads Ghaderi Law Office, PLLC, where she manages the practice day to day. She oversees case intake, client counseling, and courtroom strategy. The office takes both initial consultations and extended representation, depending on client needs. Day to day, she juggles pleadings, administrative filings and hearings, and the client communications that follow.
Her practice remains centered on immigration matters in the District of Columbia. She devotes her current work to representing noncitizens and their families in administrative proceedings and court cases and to guiding them through applications for immigration benefits.
