About Samir
Samir Dahman studied economics before turning to law. He earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1998 and a J.D. from Ohio State University — Columbus in 2004. Those years framed his early interest in how rules and markets intersect, and they set a steady course toward practice in both state and federal courts.
Early in his legal training he took a close look at federal procedure. In 2006 he served as a judicial extern at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. That placement offered direct exposure to courtroom processes and the daily workings of a federal docket. It also put him into contact with judges and clerks at the district level.
He is licensed to practice in Michigan and Ohio and is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He has maintained membership in the Ohio State Bar Association since 2007 and in the State Bar of Michigan since 2013. For several years he has practiced under the name Dahman Law, LLC. The firm appears in official listings under that name.
