About S. Michael
S. Michael Graham grew up in Texas and took a traditional route into law. He earned a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987 and later received a J.D. from the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville in 1991. Those years set a steady foundation for a career that has been built around courtroom work and state practice.
His earliest legal experience came in public service. In 1990 he worked as a criminal law clerk at the Benton County Prosecutor's Office. That role introduced him to trial preparation and the mechanics of prosecutorial work. He moved into private practice soon after and served as an assistant lawyer at Vowell & Atchley, PC in 1991.
Graham spent the next few years honing litigation skills at small firms. In 1993 he joined the Law Office of Joseph A. Bellino, PC and a year later worked at the Law Office of Bruce Flint, PC. Those positions covered client work, case management and appearances in state hearings. By 1997 he had established a practice under the banner The Injured Workers Lawyer, where he has practiced since.
He is board certified in workers’ compensation by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. That credential marks a formal recognition of expertise in a defined area of Texas law. It also reflects the kind of steady, practice-specific development he pursued after his early years in criminal and general litigation.
Graham maintains memberships in the Texas Bar Association (1993–present) and the Dallas Bar Association (1997–present). He practices in Texas and handles matters that arise under state systems and hearings. His work has largely centered on representing workers and handling administrative proceedings, claim disputes and related litigation.
Colleagues describe him as practical and procedural; his background shows a steady progression from clerkship to small-firm litigator to an established, specialized practice. Cases and client work have emphasized the procedural demands of state hearings and the documentation that often determines outcomes. He continues to run The Injured Workers Lawyer and represents clients in workers’ compensation matters in Texas. His current practice focuses on workers’ compensation and related state-level claims.
