About S. Christopher

S. Christopher Hunter built his legal foundation at Franklin College, where he studied history, and at the University of Maine School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2006. He entered the legal field in a support role and moved steadily into positions of responsibility. Those early years shaped the practical approach he brings to his work today.

Hunter began his legal career at Robinson, Kriger & McCallum, first as a paralegal in 2002 and later as a law clerk in 2004. He moved into firm practice after law school, serving as a paralegal and staff lawyer at Garrison Lawhouse, P.C. in 2006. A year later he joined Neighborhood Legal Services Michigan as a staff lawyer, where he handled matters that exposed him to client advocacy in community-based settings.

In 2012 Hunter established Hunter Law Offices, PLLC, where he holds ownership and membership. The firm represents clients in matters that draw on the experience he developed in both nonprofit and private-practice environments. His career shows a steady progression from supporting roles to leadership of a small firm.

Since 2006 Hunter has been involved in organized bar activities. He holds memberships in the Elder Law and Disability Rights Section of the State Bar of Michigan and in the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Those memberships reflect the areas of law he has worked in over the years and provide a forum for professional exchange and education.

Colleagues describe Hunter as methodical and pragmatic in his approach to casework. He has handled a range of matters tied to elder law, disability rights, probate and estate planning, drawing on practical courtroom experience and administrative practice. His background in legal services influenced how he approaches client intake and case management, particularly for clients who require coordinated services across benefits, guardianship, and estate matters.

Hunter is licensed to practice in Michigan. He runs Hunter Law Offices, PLLC, from which he provides counsel and representation. He continues to handle cases that involve elder law, disability rights, probate administration and estate planning in Michigan.

He concentrates on elder law, disability rights, probate and estate planning in his current practice.
