About Ryanna T.
Ryanna T. Capalbo began her legal path in the Midwest. She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and went on to complete her J.D. at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. Those academic years shaped her interest in litigation and practical courtroom work. They also placed her in programs and clinics that emphasized client-centered representation and procedural skill.
After law school, Capalbo built a multi-state practice. She is admitted to practice in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Michigan. Over time she took on roles that ranged from courtroom advocate to firm leader. Today she serves as a partner at Bilodeau Capalbo, LLC, where she shares responsibility for case strategy and firm operations.
Her professional memberships reflect the mix of matters she handles. She holds current memberships in the American Bar Association, the bar associations of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Michigan and Connecticut, and in local groups such as the Washington County Bar Association. She also participates in the Rhode Island Women’s Bar Association and the Rhode Island New Lawyers Committee. On the practice side, she is involved with the Creditors’ & Debtors’ Rights Committee and the Rhode Island Family Bench/Bar Committee, and she belongs to the Edward P. Gallogly American Inns of Court.
Capalbo’s caseload blends family law matters and creditors’ and debtors’ rights issues. She manages contested hearings, settlements and negotiated resolutions. Clients see her in domestic relations matters that require careful attention to records and procedure. She also handles financial disputes that can involve collection work, creditor rights enforcement and related defense matters. She approaches each case with an eye toward practical outcomes rather than procedural complication.
In court and in committee rooms she prefers directness. She prepares witnesses and filings with an emphasis on clarity. Her committee work keeps her tied to the bench and to other lawyers in the state, so she remains aware of changes in local practice and court expectations. That ongoing engagement informs how she structures cases and prepares clients for hearings.
She is based at Bilodeau Capalbo, LLC, where she practices across her admitted jurisdictions. She currently practices at Bilodeau Capalbo, LLC, where she focuses on family law and creditors' and debtors' rights.
