About Ryan
Ryan Zapalac took a deliberate path into the law. He completed two bachelor’s degrees in English and philosophy at the University of the Incarnate Word, studying there from 2010 through 2014. He then moved on to The University of Texas School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2017. Those years of study shaped the analytical style he brings to legal problems.
He entered practice soon after law school. In 2017 he worked as an associate at Elizabeth Morgan and Associates, where he cut his teeth on day-to-day client matters and courtroom preparation. A few years later he joined Greer Herz & Adams LLP as a lawyer in 2020. Those positions exposed him to a variety of case types and to the routines of both small and mid-size firms.
At some point after his time at Greer Herz & Adams, he launched his own firm, Zapalac Law Office. He is listed as the founder of Zapalac Law Office, PLLC and manages the practice from its Texas offices. Founding a firm changed the scope of his work. He moved from a role inside a larger team to one that requires handling administrative duties, client intake, and direct representation.
Zapalac is admitted to practice in Texas. His background in two liberal arts disciplines and three years at a major law school gives him a mix of verbal precision and doctrinal training. Colleagues describe him as methodical; clients note that he explains legal issues in straightforward terms. He has experience preparing pleadings, conducting research, and appearing on behalf of clients in court when necessary.
Outside the office, his professional affiliations date back to the years immediately following law school. He has been active in bar-related activities since 2017 and remains involved in regional legal networks. That engagement has kept him connected to changes in state practice and to a community of fellow lawyers across Texas.
His practice now centers on representing clients through the lifecycle of their matters. He runs Zapalac Law Office, PLLC, where he represents clients across Texas.
