About Ryan T.
Ryan T. Strickland grew up in Georgia and returned to Athens for law school after earning a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Georgia in 1995. He completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Georgia School of Law in 2000. Those years shaped his approach to practice: careful, practical and attentive to the details that matter to clients.
He entered private practice after law school and moved steadily into leadership roles. Over time he became a partner at The Strickland Firm. That partnership reflects both a legal practice and the managerial responsibilities that come with running a smaller firm. He has handled client intake, case strategy and the daily demands of serving a varied client base.
Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic in the office. He has advised individuals and businesses on routine legal matters and on more contested issues when they have arisen. He has also worked on cases that required negotiation, drafting and courtroom preparation. The work has ranged in scope, but it has consistently required attention to procedural detail and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to clients who are often facing stressful decisions.
Outside the courtroom and conference room, he has been involved in mentoring younger attorneys at the firm. That part of the job often falls to partners. It involves reviewing work, explaining why certain strategic choices are made and helping newer lawyers understand the practical side of client representation. He has combined casework and firm responsibilities in a way that keeps the office running and clients informed.
Now, as a partner at The Strickland Firm, he manages client matters and firm operations while continuing to represent clients directly. He maintains an active practice at the firm and handles a range of matters on behalf of the firm's clients.
