About Ryan
Ryan Rucker earned his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2012. He entered the legal profession immediately after law school and spent his early years learning the mechanics of courtroom work and case preparation. Classrooms and courtrooms marked his first months as a lawyer.
He began his career in 2012 as an assistant solicitor in the Fulton County Solicitor General’s Office. That post put him on the front lines of public prosecution, where he handled a steady docket and developed skills in trial procedure and evidence presentation. The work demanded quick thinking and regular courtroom appearances.
In 2015 Rucker shifted to private practice, joining Alexander Shunnarah Georgia as an associate. The move offered a different side of litigation and client advocacy. He handled client matters, managed discovery, and continued to refine his courtroom techniques. The experience broadened his perspective on the civil justice system and on representing clients outside of government service.
Three years later, in 2018, he became a partner at The Dressie Law Office. In that role he took on greater responsibility for case strategy and firm operations. Partnership expanded his involvement in case management and in supervising other lawyers. It also placed him squarely in the mix of running a small firm.
Across public and private roles, Rucker has balanced courtroom work with the administrative demands of practice. His background includes prosecutorial training and years of civil litigation experience. He has handled matters from intake through trial preparation, and he has experience presenting cases in court. Colleagues describe him as practical in approach and direct in the courtroom. He has continued membership in professional associations while practicing in Georgia.
Rucker’s path shows a steady progression from government service to private firm practice and then to partnership. He remains based in Georgia and has built a practice that spans litigation and client advising. He currently practices at The Dressie Law Office, handling litigation and client representation in Georgia.
