About Ryan
Ryan Nerney took a straightforward path into the law. He studied at the University of Southern California and earned his bachelor’s degree before enrolling at Arizona Summit Law School, where he completed his J.D. in 2013. The move from a large private university to a newer law school shaped a practical approach to training that has marked his early career.
After receiving his law degree, Nerney entered practice the following year. In 2014 he worked as a lawyer at Edmunds Law Office. That post gave him a first look at the daily demands of client work, courtroom schedules and legal filings. It was a time for building procedural familiarity and learning how to manage cases from intake through disposition.
In 2019 he joined Tully Rinckey. The change brought him into a larger firm setting and into a role where collaboration with other lawyers and staff plays a bigger part in case handling. Over time he has taken on responsibilities that involve coordinating with colleagues, preparing legal documents and interacting with clients about their matters. Colleagues describe him as steady and practical in his approach to routine and complex tasks alike.
Nerney is licensed to practice in California. His educational background and years in practice give him a base of experience in state matters. He has practiced in both smaller office environments and in a firm with broader resources. That variety of settings has influenced how he approaches problem solving and case management; he adapts methods to the needs of the client and the demands of the file.
Outside the office, he keeps professional ties current. He has maintained connections with peers and legal professionals across the state. He has continued to work on cases that require attention to procedural detail and to counsel clients through legal processes.
He is currently a lawyer at Tully Rinckey PLLC in California, where he focuses on state-level legal practice.
