About Ryan
Ryan Hughes began his legal path at Texas A&M University School of Law. He enrolled in 2013 and earned his J.D. in 2016. The law school years shaped his understanding of courtroom procedure and statutory practice. He graduated during a period of change in Texas legal education and entered practice soon after.
He took a position at Griffith & Hughes PLLC and became a partner in 2016. That early elevation to partnership placed him in a role that combined casework with firm management. He has since been part of the firm’s efforts to serve clients across the state. Colleagues describe him as steady and methodical in handling files and client communications.
Hughes is admitted to practice in Texas and maintains an active membership in the State Bar of Texas. He participates in bar activities and stays current on changes to state procedure and professional rules. Maintaining that connection to the bar informs the way he prepares for hearings and drafts filings.
In day-to-day practice he handles a full docket at Griffith & Hughes PLLC. His work involves advising clients, preparing pleadings, and appearing in court. He spends much of his time managing cases from initial intake through resolution. That includes negotiating settlements, conducting discovery, and arguing motions when necessary.
Clients and fellow lawyers encounter a straightforward approach. He aims to clarify issues and map practical options. He favors plain language in client correspondence and careful deadlines in court work. Those habits shape how he allocates time between research, client meetings, and courtroom preparation.
Outside the office he keeps ties to the legal community through the State Bar and local professional gatherings. He has not been publicly noted for academic posts or published scholarship, but he is present in legal circles where practitioners trade updates and discuss procedural developments.
Today he practices at Griffith & Hughes PLLC, where his work centers on legal matters in Texas.
