About Ryan Ellsworth

Ryan Ellsworth Thompson earned his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law. He attended a school known for its practical approach to legal education, where classroom work sits alongside clinics and simulation exercises. The degree provided a foundation in core doctrinal subjects and practical skills such as legal research, writing and client counseling.

His time in law school included coursework and experiential training that shaped how he approaches problems. Those years sharpened his ability to analyze complex documents and to communicate legal concepts clearly to nonlawyers. He also took part in projects that required managing tight deadlines and coordinating work with other students and supervising attorneys.

After graduating, Thompson moved into legal practice. Over the years he has handled a range of matters for individuals and organizations. His work has required attention to detail, regular engagement with opposing counsel and courts, and the steady management of client expectations. Colleagues describe him as methodical in building a case file and persistent in pursuing factual clarity.

Thompson maintains current memberships in professional associations. He participates in continuing legal education and attends seminars to stay current on changes in law and procedure. Those activities inform his daily practice and help him adapt to shifting legal standards and technology used in modern litigation and transactional work.

Clients find that Thompson’s day-to-day work is practical. He values clear explanations and tries to present options in straightforward language. He prepares written analyses and oral briefings designed to help clients make informed decisions. When the work turns adversarial, he focuses on preparation: pleadings, discovery and the logistics that keep a matter moving.

Outside of casework he contributes time to pro bono matters and community legal outreach when schedules allow. He treats those opportunities as part of professional responsibility rather than publicity. Today he continues to practice law, advising and representing clients on a range of legal matters and maintaining active involvement in professional associations and continuing education.
