About Ryan A
Ryan A Spencer grew up studying the rules that shape public life. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, concentrating in Law and Theory, from North Carolina State University in 2009. He then moved on to Elon University School of Law, where he completed his J.D. in 2012.
After law school Ryan entered practice in North Carolina. He began his legal career in 2012 as a lawyer at Marcari, Russotto, Spencer & Balaban. That early experience placed him in a firm environment where he worked alongside more senior attorneys and took on courtroom and office responsibilities typical of a first-year lawyer.
His work has followed a steady trajectory since those first professional steps. Over the years he has handled matters that required courtroom preparation, client counseling, and negotiation. He built practical skills through trial preparation, motion practice, and client meetings. Colleagues have relied on him for research and drafting that supported litigation and transactional needs.
Ryan’s training in political science and law shaped a methodical approach to legal problems. He balances attention to procedural detail with an awareness of the larger policy and legal context. In practice he applies analytical tools learned in law school to real-world disputes, organizing facts, identifying legal issues, and preparing arguments for hearings or settlement talks.
Outside of the courtroom, Ryan has maintained ties to local legal communities in North Carolina. He continues to work in an environment where state rules and local practice matter. His background places him among lawyers who began their careers in private practice after law school and continued to build experience through client work, court appearances, and collaborative case handling.
He is licensed to practice in North Carolina and has been active in that jurisdiction since his admission in 2012. He currently practices law in North Carolina.
