About Ruth
Ruth Moore trained first as a philosopher and then as a lawyer. She earned a B.A. in philosophy from Brown University in 1998 and received her J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2001. Those academic years set the stage for a career that moved steadily from large-firm practice into appellate work and private practice.
She began her legal career at O'Melveny & Myers LLP in 2001 as an associate. In 2004 she joined Spillane Shaeffer Aronoff Bandlow LLP, and in 2008 she became an associate at Beatty & Wozniak, P.C. Over the next decade she shifted toward solo and small-firm practice. In 2012 she served as managing lawyer of the Law Office of Ruth Moore, P.C., and that same year took an of counsel role at Weingarten Brown LLP. In 2019 she was a founding member of Moore Williams PLLC, where she is listed as an appellate lawyer.
Her admissions span several jurisdictions. She is admitted to practice in Colorado and California, and she holds admissions to the Ninth and Tenth U.S. Courts of Appeals as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. Professionally she belongs to the State Bar of California and the Colorado Bar Association, and she is a member of the First Judicial District Bar Association and the Faculty of Federal Advocates. Locally she also has a membership in the Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce.
Moore's practice centers on appeals. She prepares appellate briefs, handles oral argument, and counsels trial lawyers on preserving issues for review. Her work covers both state and federal appeals. She appears in circuit courts and has credentials to appear at the nation's highest court. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical and precise; clients expect careful attention to record-based appellate strategy.
Her career shows a steady movement from associate roles in larger firms toward independent appellate practice. That shift included running a small practice and serving in of counsel roles before helping to establish Moore Williams PLLC. She now practices at Moore Williams PLLC, where she focuses on appellate litigation and related appellate counseling.
