About Rustin
Rustin Duncan built his legal foundation in the Carolinas. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina Upstate before heading to Campbell University, where he received his Juris Doctor. That combination of regional schooling and a law degree from Campbell shaped his early understanding of both state and federal practice.
After law school, Duncan became licensed to practice in both South Carolina and North Carolina. He holds active memberships in the state bars of both jurisdictions. Those admissions allow him to represent clients on either side of the state line and to handle matters that touch both legal systems.
Duncan’s professional affiliations reflect steady engagement with the legal communities in both states. He is a current member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association, and he also maintains membership in the South Carolina Bar and the South Carolina Bar Association. These memberships provide regular contacts with colleagues and access to continuing legal education that keeps him current on rule changes and procedural developments.
Over the course of his practice he has worked in private firm settings. He carries the practical routines common to regional practices: preparing filings, advising clients on procedural options, and appearing before state courts when matters warrant. He has experience handling the administrative and procedural demands that come with cross-border practice between adjacent states. Colleagues describe him as steady in the office and straightforward with clients. He favors clarity when explaining legal steps and timelines.
Today he is based at King Law Offices in Greenville County. The office serves a mix of local and regional clients. Duncan’s role there includes counseling clients on matters that require familiarity with both North Carolina and South Carolina practice. He participates in the firm’s day-to-day case management and client communications, balancing court work and client intake.
Outside the office he remains connected to the bar associations that represent his licensing states. He attends continuing education programs and contributes to peer discussions when case law or procedure shifts require it. He keeps his practice techniques aligned with prevailing rules and administrative expectations in both states.
His current practice focuses on serving clients across South Carolina and North Carolina from King Law Offices.
