About Ross A.

Ross A. Hammersley completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1998. He returned to Michigan for law school and received his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law in 2006. Those formative years laid the groundwork for a practical approach to problem solving and a steady courtroom manner.

After law school Hammersley entered private practice. He has been associated with Frank Haron Weiner, P.L.C., where he built experience handling a broad mix of matters. His work there has involved day-to-day case preparation and client counseling as well as appearances in court and at settlement negotiations.

Colleagues describe his style as disciplined. He tends to break complex files into discrete tasks and to set immediate priorities for clients. That method helps move cases forward, even when schedules are compressed and facts keep evolving.

Much of Hammersley’s time is spent drafting pleadings, responding to discovery, and preparing witnesses for depositions and trial. He handles motion practice and attends mediations when settlements are possible. In court he aims for clear, focused argument rather than long-winded presentations. The goal is to make each point count and to give judges and juries a straightforward narrative to follow.

Outside of the courtroom he spends hours on legal research and file management. He works to keep clients informed about milestones and options. That routine paperwork and communication often determines whether a case resolves efficiently or turns into a prolonged contest.

He currently practices at Frank Haron Weiner, P.L.C., concentrating on client representation and litigation management.
