About Rose G.

Rose G. Colavita built a legal foundation at St. Bonaventure University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law. Her education gave her the grounding she would rely on in a practice that crosses state lines and touches federal courts.

After law school, Colavita established a practice that spans North Carolina and New York. She is admitted to practice in the states of North Carolina and New York and is also admitted to the Federal Circuit. Those credentials allow her to handle matters that require both state and federal court experience. She maintains memberships in the New York State Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association, remaining active in the professional communities where she practices.

Colavita’s work reflects the dual geographic footprint of her career. She has kept offices in both Charlotte, North Carolina, and Olean, New York, and regularly moves between the two as client needs dictate. That arrangement means she is familiar with the procedural differences and local practices in both jurisdictions. It also allows her to advise clients whose matters cross state lines or involve federal appellate issues.

Colavita approaches cases with an emphasis on clear communication and practical problem solving. She aims to explain legal options plainly and to set realistic expectations. Her courtroom and appellate admissions give her access to multiple layers of the judicial system, and she uses that access to pursue the most appropriate forum for each client’s circumstances.

Outside of filings and hearings, Colavita participates in bar activities through the two state associations where she holds membership. Those connections keep her engaged with developments in both states, and they provide channels for continuing legal education and professional collaboration. Colavita’s practice reflects a balance between local presence and wider jurisdictional reach, a profile that suits clients who need representation in either state or at the federal appellate level.

She currently practices out of offices in Charlotte, NC and Olean, NY, and her work centers on representing clients in matters across North Carolina, New York and the Federal Circuit.
