About Ronald J.

Ronald J. Ellett built his legal foundation at Northwestern University. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics and studied political science before returning to Northwestern University School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1989. Those years in Evanston shaped his approach to complex factual and financial questions, and they set the stage for a long career in Arizona law.

He was admitted to the Arizona State Bar in 1989 and has maintained membership since that year. That admission opened the door to practice across Arizona courts. He also gained admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, which expanded the range of forums where he represents clients. Over time those dual state and federal credentials have informed how he evaluates cases and frames legal strategy.

Ellett has practiced through Ellett Law Offices, P.C., handling matters that require attention in both state and federal settings. The record shows a steady private-practice path rather than frequent moves between large firms or government posts. That continuity has allowed him to develop a practice rhythm and an institutional knowledge of Arizona’s legal landscape.

Colleagues and clients describe him as practical in the way he approaches disputes. He favors clear analysis over rhetoric. He lays out the legal issues, examines the record, and identifies the procedural avenues available at both the trial and appellate levels. Membership in the Arizona State Bar has been a constant professional touchpoint since 1989, and the Ninth Circuit admission allows him to pursue appeals and federal filings when cases take that route.

Throughout his career he has balanced courtroom work and advisory matters, adapting when a matter shifts from negotiation to litigation. He maintains an active role at Ellett Law Offices, P.C., where he handles filings and appearances in Arizona courts and appeals before the Ninth Circuit. He currently concentrates his practice on matters in Arizona state courts and cases before the Ninth Circuit.
