About Ronald
Ronald Dowdy arrived at the law after an early education in business. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in finance, from the University of Southern California in 1995. Two decades later he completed a Juris Doctor at Concord University in 2014 and began practicing under California jurisdiction.
Dowdy’s undergraduate training in finance shaped his early professional outlook. The B.S. program exposed him to commercial concepts and financial analysis. That background followed him into legal studies and informed his approach to legal problems that intersect with commercial or financial questions.
While in law school and soon after graduation, he spent time inside the courthouse as a judicial intern at the Mohave County Superior Court. The internship put him close to courtroom procedure and case processing. It provided a practical counterpoint to classroom study and offered a firsthand look at the work judges and court staff perform daily.
Since completing his J.D., he has maintained a membership in a professional legal association that he joined in 2014 and continues to hold. That affiliation has kept him connected to continuing education and to peers in the legal community. He has applied lessons from those circles back to day-to-day practice.
Dowdy practices at Need Law. Colleagues and clients see him combine his business education with courtroom and courthouse experience. He handles matters that require an understanding of both legal principle and financial detail. He aims to present clear analysis and to translate complex financial facts into usable legal arguments.
He is admitted to practice in California and conducts his work from that jurisdiction. His career path reflects a move from finance into law, a period of direct court experience, and ongoing membership in the professional community since his J.D. completion in 2014. He currently practices at Need Law and concentrates on legal matters arising under California law.
