About Ronald D.
Ronald D. Coleman began his academic path at Princeton University, where he earned a B.A. in Economics and Politics in 1985 after beginning studies in 1981. He went on to receive his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1988. His undergraduate and law school years set the stage for a practice that intersects law, commerce and technology.
Coleman’s career spans multiple law firms and several decades in private practice. He joined Goetz Fitzpatrick LLP as a partner in 2008. In 2015 he moved to Archer & Greiner, PC as a partner, and two years later he joined Mandelbaum Salsburg PC in a partner role. Since 2020 he has been a partner at Dhillon Law Group. Those moves trace a steady presence in firms that handle intellectual property and related commercial disputes.
He is admitted to practice before a broad range of courts. That list includes the U.S. Supreme Court and numerous federal circuit courts—the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, 11th and the Federal Circuit—as well as state bar admissions in New York and New Jersey. The access to trial and appellate forums has allowed him to handle matters at multiple levels of litigation.
Coleman’s professional associations reflect sustained engagement in trademark, copyright and internet law circles. He is a member of the Federal Bar Association and the Intellectual Property Section of the New York State Bar Association. He has served on the Trademarks & Unfair Competition Committee of the New York City Bar Association since 2000 and belonged to the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Internet and Computer Law Committee earlier in his career. He has also been affiliated with the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and was a member of the Copyright Society of the USA for much of the 2010s. He has acted as a firm representative to the International Trademark Association and is listed as a member of the Republican National Lawyers Association.
Taken together, Coleman’s affiliations and admissions suggest steady involvement in trademark and unfair competition matters, copyright questions and internet-related disputes. He has practiced across trial and appellate levels and represented clients in state and federal venues. He currently practices at Dhillon Law Group, concentrating on intellectual property, trademark and unfair competition matters.
