About Ron S.
Ron S. Fladhammer built his legal foundation at Northern Illinois University College of Law, where he earned his law degree in 1992 after completing a Bachelor of Science at Minnesota State University, Moorhead in 1986. He moved from the classroom to the courtroom in the years that followed, carrying a Midwestern academic background into an Illinois practice.
He is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court, credentials that have shaped the scope of his work. Over time he has handled matters that require familiarity with state administrative procedures as well as federal court practice. His admissions allow him to represent clients in both local tribunals and in federal proceedings when cases take that route.
Fladhammer’s professional memberships anchor him in the legal community. He holds current memberships in the Will County Bar Association and the Illinois Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association. Those ties keep him connected to colleagues and to developments in statutes, rules and case law that affect workplace injury claims and related litigation. Locally oriented bar work has also kept him engaged with issues that matter to employers, insurers and injured workers across the region.
His work has involved counseling and representing clients in workers’ compensation matters and related disputes. He has spent years addressing contested claims, medical evidence, benefit calculations and hearings before administrative judges. Cases often require close attention to medical records and statutory deadlines. He has taken depositions, prepared motions and argued at hearings when factual and legal issues required a contested resolution.
Fladhammer practices from McNamara Phelan McSteen, LLC, Lawyers at Law. At that firm he is part of a team that handles litigation and administrative advocacy for clients in the region. Colleagues describe him as steady in court and attentive in preparation; clients have turned to him when claims became complex or required federal court filings. He combines courtroom experience with an understanding of the procedural mechanics that drive many injury and compensation disputes.
He continues to maintain active involvement in local and state bar groups while representing clients in workers’ compensation matters and related litigation. He currently practices at McNamara Phelan McSteen, LLC, focusing on workers’ compensation and related disputes.
