About Ron
Ron Renzy began a path toward appellate law after undergraduate studies at Florida Atlantic University, where he earned a B.A. in 1985. He returned to Florida for law school and completed a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law in 1992. Those years shaped his interest in the mechanics of appellate work and in the finer points of legal argument.
He entered practice at a time when appellate dockets were evolving. Early in his career he concentrated on post-trial and appellate matters, developing a practice that spanned state and federal courts. Over time he expanded the range of courts in which he appears. His credentials now include admission in Florida, the 3rd and 11th Circuits, the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Renzy’s involvement in the legal community extends beyond courtroom appearances. Since 2008 he has been active in the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce and served as its chair for 2022–2023. That role placed him in a civic leadership position, connecting legal practice to local business concerns. His civic activity has run alongside, rather than instead of, his litigation work.
His courtroom work centers on appeals. He files briefs, argues before appellate panels, and handles petitions that seek review at the highest levels. Cases on his docket have included commercial disputes, administrative appeals, and questions that intersect with federal jurisdiction. He also represents clients in matters sent up on writs and in proceedings that require specialized appellate procedure.
Renzy founded and practices at SUNSHINE APPEALS, P.A., where he has organized a practice around appellate litigation. The firm’s posture is procedural and appellate—writing, briefing, and oral advocacy that aim to preserve issues for review and to press them before appellate tribunals. He works with trial counsel to prepare records and to frame issues likely to survive scrutiny on appeal.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing records and direct in oral argument. He favors clear, concise briefing that foregrounds legal standards and evidentiary records. His practice touches both state and federal systems, and he often coordinates filings that must comply with differing appellate rules.
He continues to take appellate cases through the state and federal appellate systems and appears before federal circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court. He currently practices at SUNSHINE APPEALS, P.A., handling appellate litigation in state and federal courts.
