About Roman
Roman Nikhman earned his J.D. from UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law after completing a B.B.A. at Pace University. He moved from a business undergraduate program into law school and finished his legal training in Las Vegas. Those academic stops established the technical and practical foundation he uses in daily practice.
He is admitted to practice in Nevada and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Those admissions allow him to represent clients at the trial and appellate levels across the western states that fall under the Ninth Circuit’s jurisdiction. He has maintained an active presence in courts where federal and state issues intersect.
Nikhman joined Hawkins Parnell & Young, LLP, where he handles litigation matters that arise under both state and federal law. His work brings together prior business studies and legal training. He evaluates claims, participates in briefing and motion practice, and appears in court when required. He approaches each matter with attention to procedure and the practical implications for clients.
Colleagues describe him as practical and methodical in case preparation. He draws on his B.B.A. background to analyze commercial elements of disputes and on his law school training for doctrinal and procedural questions. His practice involves drafting pleadings, preparing discovery strategies, and managing factual development to support legal arguments.
Outside the courtroom, Nikhman stays current on developments affecting the Ninth Circuit and Nevada practice. He tracks changes in case law and procedural rules that can affect litigation strategies and outcomes. He works from Hawkins Parnell & Young, LLP and coordinates with colleagues on multi-jurisdictional issues. He currently practices litigation in Nevada and before the Ninth Circuit.
