About Roma

Roma Khan earned her J.D. from the University of La Verne College of Law in 2006. She completed her legal education during a period of shifting expectations for new attorneys. The degree provided a platform for a career that crosses state lines.

Early in her career Khan established roots in both Illinois and Arizona. She is admitted to practice in those two jurisdictions and has worked on matters that require an understanding of their distinct court systems and regulatory environments. Moving between two states has shaped how she approaches practical problem solving. It also means she has built professional relationships in more than one legal community.

Over time Khan founded Roma Khan Law. The firm’s structure centers on a small-office model that aims to keep decision-making close to the client. She manages the firm’s day-to-day operations and handles client intake, case strategy, and courtroom preparation. Colleagues describe her as methodical in casework and careful in courtroom presentation.

Khan’s courtroom experience spans hearings and trial preparation in state courts. She also handles transactional work that requires attention to regulatory detail and paperwork. Her background in two jurisdictions gives her an ability to spot procedural differences early, which can affect strategy and timing. That practical awareness informs how she prepares matters for settlement or trial.

Clients say Khan is straightforward about timelines and realistic about outcomes. She prepares clients for the immediate steps in a case and for the longer arc of litigation or negotiation. She favors clear explanations over legal jargon. That approach helps clients make informed decisions when deadlines loom or when settlement offers arrive.

Outside the office Khan maintains connections to local legal circles in both Illinois and Arizona. She attends continuing legal education programs to keep current on changes in state rules and procedure. Those activities inform how the firm adapts to new statutes and evolving court practices.

As principal of Roma Khan Law, she continues to take cases that arise under the laws of Illinois and Arizona and to oversee the firm’s handling of those matters. Her present practice concentrates on legal work arising under Illinois and Arizona law.
