About Roger

Roger Traversa built his legal foundation at Widener University Delaware School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2003. He arrived at law school after completing undergraduate studies and finished his degree in the early 2000s. The academic experience at Widener shaped his entry into practice and provided the base for courtroom work in the years that followed.

After law school, Traversa established a practice in Pennsylvania. He is admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania and also holds admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Those admissions have allowed him to take cases beyond the trial level and to handle matters that move into appellate review. Over time he has developed familiarity with procedural requirements at both the state and federal levels.

His career has been anchored in litigation. Much of his work has involved filings, court appearances and briefs in Pennsylvania courts and the Third Circuit. Traversa’s practice requires steady attention to court rules and deadlines. He has handled a range of courtroom tasks, from preliminary hearings to appellate briefs. That practical courtroom experience informs how he prepares matters early on, anticipating potential motions and the record an appeal might later require.

Colleagues describe him as deliberate in court and concise in writing. He tends to favor clear legal argument over rhetorical flourish. That approach is useful in appellate matters where brevity and precision often carry more weight than volume. At the trial level, the same preparation helps in managing evidentiary matters and in presenting a coherent narrative to judges and juries.

Outside of litigation basics, Traversa’s admissions mean he can advise clients who face questions about federal jurisdiction, appellate timelines and the interplay between state and federal proceedings. He has worked on matters that required coordination between trial counsel and appellate briefing, a coordination that shapes strategy from the outset. His practice reflects the procedural realities of modern litigation in Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit.

Today he continues to practice law in Pennsylvania, handling cases that require state court representation and appellate work in the Third Circuit. His current practice centers on litigation and appellate practice in Pennsylvania and the federal appellate court system.
