About Robyn Willson
Robyn Willson Hattaway built her legal foundation through two well-regarded schools. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997 with a B.A. in Government and Sociology after studies that ran from 1993 to 1997. She then attended Emory University School of Law from 1998 to 2001 and earned her J.D. in 2001.
Her career is centered in the Southeast. She holds memberships in the Florida Bar and the State Bar of Georgia and appears on the Roll of Lawyers for the Supreme Court of Indiana. In 2020 she became a partner at Lacey Lyons Rezanka, a role that followed years of practice in the region. The partner title marks a milestone in a career that combines private practice and public service.
Public and civic roles have been a steady part of Hattaway’s professional life. She joined the Board of Commissioners for the Canaveral Port Authority in 2018 and continues to serve there. She has been on the board of LEAD Brevard since 2019 and has acted as a liaison to the Titusville Chamber of Commerce beginning the same year. Since 2021 she has served on the Board of Trustees for the Health First Foundation, and she has been a member of a Governance Committee since 2020. Earlier, she took part in an Alumni Engagement Committee from 2019 to 2020.
Those governance roles inform the areas in which she works. Her board service gives her direct experience with nonprofit oversight, public authority governance, and the kinds of regulatory and stakeholder issues that arise for public and quasi-public institutions. Colleagues and clients have turned to her on matters where governance, policy and public accountability intersect. She brings a practical, procedural sense to negotiations and internal policy work, and she is familiar with the public meeting and disclosure rules that affect local authorities.
At Lacey Lyons Rezanka she practices law while maintaining an active civic presence. She splits time between firm responsibilities and service on several regional boards. Her current practice centers on governance and regulatory matters for public and nonprofit entities, alongside other legal matters handled by her firm.
