About Robyn Frye

Robyn Frye Honig arrived at law from a background in sociology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Boston College, earning a B.A. in sociology in 1982. She went on to law school at Emory University School of Law and received her J.D. in 1985.

After law school she entered private practice and built a career that spans state and federal work. She has litigated matters in trial courts and handled appeals. Over the years she has litigated in courts throughout New England and beyond, bringing cases to resolution through motion practice, trial, and briefing in appellate courts.

She is admitted to the bars of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and she is authorized to appear before the United States Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Those admissions have allowed her to handle cases that move from state trial dockets into federal appellate review. She has experience managing the procedural demands that different tribunals impose, including rules of appellate practice and the preparation of briefs for higher courts.

Her work has involved both individual representation and matters that include institutional clients. She has taken depositions, argued dispositive motions, conducted jury and non-jury trials, and prepared appellate briefs. Colleagues describe her as methodical in litigation preparation and direct in courtroom presentation. She adapts practice strategies to the demands of each case and the particular standards of the courts where the cases are heard.

She maintains an office at 55 Wingate St. From that office she continues to accept matters that require trial-level advocacy and appellate work in state and federal forums. Her current practice centers on appellate and trial matters in state and federal courts.
