About Robin A
Robin A Donato graduated from Princeton University in 1988 with a degree in economics. She went on to earn her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1991. Those academic years set a clear course toward a legal career that moved from public service into private practice.
Her legal career began in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General's Department in 1991. She served there as a lawyer, handling military legal matters for several years and taking on responsibilities that included litigation and advising commanders. After uniformed service she shifted into civilian practice, joining Blume Forte Fried Zerres & Molinari as an associate in 2001. The move marked a steady transition from military law to courthouse work in the civil arena.
Across her career Ms. Donato has maintained active ties to several bar groups. She has been a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association since 1991. She is also listed as a member of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey from 1991 onward. Her involvement with the New Jersey Association for Justice reflects continued participation in the plaintiff trial bar in the state.
Outside of typical bar activities she has taken on leadership and advisory positions. Early in her career she served as president of the Company Grade Officers Association within the Air Force Association from 1992 to 1993. Later, between 2007 and 2009, she acted as legal advisor to the Fredericksburg Hockey Club, providing counsel on organizational and liability questions.
Her professional path shows a mix of government and private practice that is common among lawyers who litigate in state and federal courts. The military years gave her courtroom and advisory experience. Her time at Blume Forte Fried Zerres & Molinari expanded that work into civil cases in New Jersey. Colleagues describe her approach as practical and detail-oriented, favoring preparation and careful management of cases.
Now in private practice, she maintains active bar memberships and continues to appear in state and federal courts. Her current practice centers on plaintiff-side civil litigation in New Jersey.
