Robert A. Weissman is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1975 and holds bar number 67981. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Weissman is a partner at Weissman & Weissman, a law firm located in Westlake Village, California. He has been practicing law for over 50 years, serving clients throughout California and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Weissman earned his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 1975. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1972. During his junior year, he attended Chapman College's World Campus Afloat program in 1970.

Mr. Weissman specializes in construction law, representing general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, rental companies, and other trade and design professionals. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including contract preparation, negotiation, construction issues, disputes, mediation, arbitration, and litigation. He handles cases involving breach of contract, change orders, extra work, delays, defective work, performance disputes, foreclosure of mechanics' liens, enforcement of stop notices, payment bonds, and subdivision improvement bonds. Additionally, he represents real estate investors, spec builders, and flippers in various matters, from contract advice and review to dispute resolution and litigation.

Throughout his career, Mr. Weissman has been admitted to practice before all California courts, U.S. District Courts in California, and the United States Supreme Court. He is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. He has been recognized as a "Super Lawyer" in Construction Litigation from 2016 to 2026 and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest level of professional excellence.

Mr. Weissman is an active member of the legal community, having served as the past president of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and as a trustee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is also an arbitrator and mediator with the American Arbitration Association on the construction and real estate panels. In addition to his legal practice, he is an experienced real estate, bond, and cryptocurrency investor and is an amateur photographer.
