Robert H — Solomon is a bankruptcy attorney based in Long Beach, New York. He earned his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law in 1982, where he served as Executive Editor of the Journal of Law and Contemporary Problems and was recognized as a David H. Siegel Scholar. Prior to law school, he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School in 1979. Admitted to the New York State Bar in 1983, Mr. Solomon has been practicing law for over four decades. He is also admitted to the U.S.

District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the U.S. Supreme Court. The U.S. Court of International Trade. Mr. Solomon began his legal career at LaBoeuf Lamb Dewey Ballantine in New York City, focusing on corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities financings, and business contracts. In 1988, he shifted his focus to bankruptcy law, founding his own firm, Robert H.

Solomon, P.C., in Long Beach, New York. Since then, he has assisted thousands of individuals and small businesses in navigating bankruptcy proceedings to achieve financial stability. In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Mr. Solomon represents clients in various contested matters under the Bankruptcy Code, such as proceedings to lift the automatic stay, avoidance actions, and property rights disputes. He regularly defends clients in bankruptcy court matters involving preferences, fraudulent conveyances, assumption or rejection of executory contracts, and debt dischargeability. Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Solomon has been actively involved in his community.

He has served as a School Board Trustee and held positions on the Board of Directors for local organizations, including the hospital, chamber of commerce, and homeowner’s association. He also served as president of the local bar association and was Chairman of the Long Island Democratic Committee. His philanthropic efforts include serving as Chairman of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island, fostering communication between diverse communities. Mr. Solomon has been recognized for his professionalism and quality of legal work, earning an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He has been selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in America. He has also spoken on bankruptcy issues, the student loan crisis, and alternatives to repayment at professional associations and on WPIX Channel 11 News in New York.
