About Robert
Robert Siddall built a career that moves between public service and criminal defense. He earned a B.A. from Texas State University–San Marcos in 2005, majoring in English with a minor in criminal justice. He later received his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2011. Those academic steps set a practical, legal course rather than a theoretical one.
His first professional chapter began in the military. Siddall served as an officer in the United States Air Force starting in 2005. The experience left him comfortable with structure and accountability. It also gave him an early exposure to settings where clear legal reasoning matters.
After law school he entered public service. In 2012 he worked as an Assistant State Lawyer in the Office of the State Lawyer. There he handled state-level matters and gained courtroom experience. The role put him on the prosecution side of cases and gave him a grounding in how state cases move from filing to resolution.
Siddall moved into defense work in 2014 when he joined the Kagan Law Office as a criminal defense lawyer. Two years later he took a lead role at Musca Law, overseeing a heavier caseload and mentoring junior lawyers. Those years on the defense side reshaped his approach to strategy and client advocacy.
In 2020 he became a partner at Ruhl & Siddall, P.A. The partnership formalized a long-running practice in criminal defense and brought administrative duties along with client work. Siddall is admitted to practice in Texas and Florida, and he holds current membership in the Florida State Bar. His practice has involved direct client representation, motion practice, and trial preparation.
He represents people facing criminal charges across a spectrum of severity. His work ranges from handling misdemeanors to addressing serious felony allegations. He prepares cases for trial and negotiates resolutions when that path serves a client’s interests. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in court and focused on the practical steps that move cases forward.
Siddall’s path — military service, state prosecution, private defense, firm leadership — has given him a broad view of the criminal justice system. He draws on that background when advising clients and building case strategies. He is currently a partner at Ruhl & Siddall, P.A., where he focuses on criminal defense representation in Texas and Florida.
