Robert Rivera built a steady legal path after completing law school in the early 2010s. He has worked in both public service and private practice in Florida. Colleagues say he approaches each matter with a practical style and a preference for clear, direct work in court and at the office.
Rivera earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013. His time at Chapel Hill coincided with a period of steady growth in his interest in state-level practice. The degree marked a transition from study to practice and set the stage for his entry into Florida’s legal community.
He began his career in a public role at a State Lawyer’s Office in 2013. There he handled early responsibilities that often fall to junior attorneys in government settings: research, drafting pleadings and memoranda, and assisting more senior lawyers on cases. That experience exposed him to the procedural and practical demands of public-sector work.
In 2015 Rivera moved into private practice as a lawyer with the Law Office of Richard E. Zaldivar, P.A. At that firm he worked on matters typical for small-to-midsize practices, collaborating on client representation and case preparation. The shift from a state office to a private law firm broadened his exposure to different client needs and the operational realities of private practice.
He now practices under the name Robert Rivera Law. The firm’s entry in professional directories lists Florida as the jurisdiction in which he is authorized to work. Over the years he has balanced courtroom responsibilities with the behind-the-scenes legal tasks that keep cases moving. His career reflects experience on both sides of the public–private divide in Florida law.
Rivera’s work is rooted in state practice. He brings the practical lessons from his early government role and his subsequent private-practice years to bear on current client matters. He focuses on representing clients in matters governed by Florida law, handling litigation and transactional work as needed in state courts and administrative forums.
