Robert Quimby built his legal foundation at Mississippi College School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2011. He entered the bar shortly after completing law school and moved quickly into private practice. He began his career as an associate at Smith, Phillips, Mitchell, Scott & Nowak, LLP in 2011. At that firm he handled a range of matters that required steady attention to deadlines and clear written work. Colleagues from that period recall a lawyer comfortable in the details of case preparation and steady under pressure. Those years provided a base for the next turn in his career.
In 2014 Quimby took on a municipal bench when he became a judge for the City of Hernando. The municipal assignment meant frequent hearings and a steady docket of local disputes.
