Robert Martin Dowd is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1976. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Dowd is a partner at Griswold LaSalle Cobb Dowd & Gin LLP, a full-service law firm located in Hanford, California. He has been practicing law for over four decades, serving clients throughout the Central Valley region.

Mr. Dowd earned his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in 1976, graduating magna cum laude. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at San Francisco State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968. During his time at California Western, he was recognized for his academic excellence, graduating with honors. Additionally, Mr. Dowd served as a Retired Colonel in the United States Marine Corps, demonstrating his commitment to public service.

Prior to joining Griswold LaSalle Cobb Dowd & Gin LLP in 1981, he served as a Retired Colonel in the United States Marine Corps, where he was an honor graduate of The Basic School in 1969. Mr. Dowd is an active member of several professional organizations, including the International Society of Barristers, the American College of Trial Lawyers, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has served on the Board of Trustees for California Western School of Law from 1992 to 1995 and has been involved in the Veterans Advisory Group for the 17th Congressional District from 1997 to 2004.
