Robert Lawton Harper graduated from Elon University in 2017 with a degree in history and education. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2022. Those academic years set the stage for a quick start to a practical legal career in South Carolina.
He began practicing law shortly after law school. In 2022 he was a lawyer at Chappell Smith & Arden, P.A., where he handled matters for clients across the firm's practice areas. The following year he joined Smith, Born, Leventis, Taylor & Vega, LLC as a lawyer and has continued his work there since 2023.
