About Robert I. Masten
Robert I. Masten Jr. earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware School of Law in 2007. He moved into practice in Delaware soon after law school and built a steady, practical career in private practice and firm management. His legal training provided the foundation for work that would combine courtroom experience with the daily demands of running a law office.
He began his legal career as an associate at Cross & Simon, LLC in 2008. That role introduced him to the routines of litigation practice and the responsibilities of client representation. In 2009 he worked as a contract lawyer for Just Legal Inc., taking on discrete assignments that required quick study and adaptability. A year later he stepped into a managerial position as the managing lawyer for the Delaware office of Georgette Miller & Associates, PC, where he supervised case flow and coordinated local matters.
In 2011 Masten opened his own firm, The Law Office of Robert I. Masten, Jr., Esq., LLC. As owner and managing lawyer he handled intake, case strategy, and the administrative obligations of a small practice. Running his own office sharpened skills beyond legal analysis. He dealt with billing, client communications, and the practical decisions that affect daily practice.
He returned to a larger firm setting in 2016 as a lawyer at Stern & Eisenberg. The move placed him back into a team environment and into matters that required collaboration across legal support staff. Two years later, in 2018, he became a partner at Ceccotti & Masten. The partnership brought him into a principal role, combining casework with leadership responsibilities at the firm.
Across roles and offices, Masten has balanced litigation work with law office management. He has experience preparing court filings, advising clients, and overseeing case progression. His background includes both short-term contract work and long-term client relationships. Those different settings have influenced how he approaches problem solving and client service.
Masten is licensed to practice in Delaware and maintains his work in that jurisdiction. He is a partner at Ceccotti & Masten and continues to practice law in Delaware. His current practice centers on civil litigation and client counseling.
